Nuerda Donates Surgery Assisting Machine to Gambella City Primary Hospital

Gambella City Primary Hospital is doing various works to expand its services to the community and satisfy the needs of patients, says the hospital’s medical director Dr. Gatlang Tut.

They said that it is one of the services the hospital is providing, but the number of patients is not enough.
Thus, Operating Room Light, which helps to expand the operating room services, has been gifted to the hospital.

Mrs. Gnakor Meding, the manager of the Nuer Development Association, stated that the support was obtained by the funds raised by Gambella Medical Team Connection in collaboration with Nuer Development Association.

Dr. Gatlang Tut said that the support of the machine will be more meaningful for patients with appointments and emergency visits.

Dr. Gatlang has said that he thanked those who supported him. In order to create a situation where the hospital can still provide a wide range of services, the diaspora community of Gambela region and Ethiopians and the generation of Ethiopia to support various medical equipment.

The Nuer Development Association has stated that they have been providing different support since the establishment of the hospital and requested them to continue their support.

The head of Gambella city health office and the board member of the hospital Mr. Bom Wang said that there is a challenge to satisfy the needs of patients as there is only one that is used for the operating room.

At this moment, he stated that an additional surgery unit is being completed and said that the support of OR light machine will contribute to expanding the service. They have expressed their gratitude to those who supported.

The director of quality improvement of the hospital, Dr. Ashenafi, has stated that he needs different supports to make the hospital better.
The hospital’s aim is to reduce the number of referred patients. They have stated that one of the operating room light machines can help this.
The machine has been spent more than one million birr.

During the delivery, the Gambella city government communication affairs office head Mr. Biel Borne and other concerned bodies have been present.
